TouchNTuff® is gemaakt van nitril. De handschoen is daardoor vier keer beter bestand tegen perforatie dan vergelijkbare handschoenen in natuurlatex en drie keer beter dan vergelijkbare neopreenhandschoenen.
Ze bevat geen eiwitten van natuurrubber. De drager loopt dus geen risico op Type I-allergieën. Studies van primaire huidirritatie en Insult Patch-tests leveren geen enkele aanwijzing op van enig risico op irritatie of allergische contactdermatitis.
